Riyadh, Muharram 07, 1440, September 17, 2018, SPA -- The President of the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) Abdullah bin Fahd Al-Hussein received at his office here today the Director General of E-Government Program (Yesser), Engineer Ali bin Nasser Al-Asiri and a number of managers of the program in the context of enhancing the joint cooperation between "SPA" and "Yesser".
During the meeting, Al-Hussein reviewed the establishment of "SPA" 50 years ago and its developments up to now, particularly transferring SPA to an independent commission in 1433 AH and moving to a new modern building equipped with latest technologies to support the media presence of "SPA" at home and abroad.
The SPA President pointed out that the agency is keeping up with the technologies of the media to ensure that its media message reaches recipients inside and outside the Kingdom in five languages including Arabic, English, French, Chinese, Russian, and Persian, noting that SPA accounts are followed by more than 5 million followers.
For his part, Engineer Ali bin Nasser Al-Asiri expressed his happiness to meet with the SPA President and see its media and technological development in various fields, pointing to the importance of its role in supporting the media presence in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Then Al-Hussein, Engineer Al-Asiri and the accompanying delegation toured SPA various departments and the Media Center.
The meeting was attended by SPA Vice President Ahmad bin Ibrahim Al-Awadh, Director General of Information Technology Department Abdullah Al-Abdullatif, Director of Information Security Department Talal Al-Swaileh, and Director of Local Offices and Correspondents Department Mohammed Al-Qahtani.
