Oman- Global Money Exchange to offer Indian visa, passport services


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- To offer better services in passport and visa-related matters to Indian nationals, Global Money Exchange has joined hands with BLS International, an Indian passport and visa service providing company.

One of the leading exchange houses in Oman, Global Money Exchange will extend the services through nine of its selected branches in Salalah, Sur, Sohar, Shinas, Nizwa, Ibri, Duqm, Khasab and Buraimi.

Global Money Exchange branches will be accepting applications and related documents from Indian nationals for renewal of their passports and passport applications for newborns.

The passport renewal fees will also be collected along with the applications. The collected applications will be sent to BLS International for processing at the Indian Embassy.
P Kannan Nair, second secretary (consular section), Indian Embassy in Muscat, inaugurated the service at Haffa House Hotel on Sunday.

R Madhusoodanan, general manager of Global Money Exchange said, 'We are committed to the customers and the general public. This is another feather in the cap for the company. More such new initiatives are on the anvil and awaiting approvals at various levels. A few more branches in remote locations will also be added during the year.'

He added, 'We have made the remittance to Kerala Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund absolutely free. This facility continues and is available at all our branches. The employees also contributed to the fund. This will benefit nearly 700,000 Indian expat population besides the local and other population for Indian visa requirements.'

Officials of BLS International said that they are happy to associated with Global Money Exchange, which is managed by State Bank of India in rendering the passport and visa services and the aim has always been to give better service to the applicants. Global Money Exchange is active in 46 locations across Oman.

The company recently started remittance business at the Muscat International Airport which is in addition to the existing currency exchange operations. The company will also be offering similar service in the upcoming Duqm Airport.
