Asian Games: Ace wrestler Sushil Kumar suffers a shocking exit

India's two-time Olympics medalist, Sushil Kumar, suffered a shocking first round defeat at the Asian Games 2018, being held in Indonesia.
The veteran ace was a genuine medal contender and the hope of winning the silverware ended on a sour note for the wrestler.
Notably, Kumar had earlier skipped the 2014 Asian Games.

Sushil surrenders match to Batirov

Sushil lost 3-5 to Bahrain's Adam Batirov in men's freestyle 74 kg qualification round.
He can be in contention for a medal via repechage later on, but only if Batirov reaches the finale.
Sushil started the game well and was leading 2-1, but Batirov fought back to seal the deal.
Sushil's best performance at the Asian Games was back in 2006 (bronze medal).

Meanwhile, Sandeep Tomar entered the quarter-finals of the Asian Games after beating Turkmenistan's Rstem Nazarov in the men's 57 kg freestyle event.
Sandeep was joined by Bajrang Punia, who won his first round bout comprehensively.
He beat Uzbekistan's Sirojiddin Khasanov 13-3 to progress in men's freestyle 65 kg event.
Pawan Kumar went through to the quarters of the 86 kg event after beating Heng.
