Real coach Lopetegui avoids questions on new signings

(MENAFN) Real Madrid coach Julen Lopetegui shunned inquiries on whether his team is in need of new signings ahead of wrapping up the transfer period on August 31st.

The coach stated "what I want to do is concentrate on getting the best of a squad I am delighted with. We have a lot of talent and we all want to work for the club."

The former Spain coach also stressed that he was "certain" fans would see a Madrid with a "team mentality."

The 51-year-old noted "the important thing is the players who are here ...anyone who is not here isn't important. It is not a priority to make signings now, but it is a priority to win matches."

Lopetegui added that the club was "going to fight for the titles with the players that we have. We have full confidence in them, they are working very well and we believe they have more capacity and talent than people may think."
