Argentina grants outgoing Kuwaiti Amb. Order of May


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Aug 17 (KUNA) -- Argentina has awarded outgoing Kuwaiti Ambassador Salah Al-Mutairi, the Order of May, one of the highest decorations in the country, in recognition of his efforts to strengthen Kuwaiti-Argentinian ties.
On this occasion, the Argentinian Foreign Ministry has organized a ceremony to honor Al-Mutairi and hand him the award, the Kuwaiti Embassy in Buenos Aires reported in a statement Friday. sent to KUNA in Kuwait.
During the ceremony, Argentina's Deputy Foreign Minister Daniel Raimondi stressed the growing strength and the development of bilateral relations.
He expressed admiration of Kuwait's active role and diverse humanitarian contributions.
Raimondi recalled Kuwait's finance to the expansion of the cancer and blood diseases treatment building of Garrahan Pediatric Hospital, which serves patients from Argentina, Paraguay, Bolivia, Peru and Colombia. He also noted Kuwait's donation of fully-equipped five ambulances to the Argentinian state of Cordoba.
