Australian police arrest woman over smuggling drugs


(MENAFN) Officials declared that a Missouri woman who headed to Australia last August to meet a man she knew online was captured trafficking cocaine, inside the heels of her shoes.

Denise Marie Woodrum, aged 51, was captured amid customs check at the Sydney Airport.

She was blocked by officers who found two pounds of cocaine in her luggage, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.

Her lawyer Rebecca Neil confirmed: " She was groomed to provide financial gain for this person, Hendrick Cornelius, whatever person or persons it was behind this identity."
