(MENAFN- UkrinForm) All the organic product manufacturers will be included in the state register of operators after the law of Ukraine on organic production is put into effect.
"All the organic product manufacturers, which concluded an agreement with a certification body, will be included in the new state register of operators, which manufacture the organic products in accordance with the requirements of the legislation on organic production, distribution and labeling of organic products. The register will be created after Law of Ukraine ‘On Organic Production' No. 2496 - VIII is put into effect," the press service of the Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry of Ukraine reports.
It is noted that the organic product manufacturers have the right to conclude an agreement on certification with only one certification body, which is included in the state register of certification bodies. In addition, a manufacturer has the right to conclude an additional agreement with the foreign certification body, which is included in the list of foreign certification bodies.
After a certification contract is concluded, the Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry includes a manufacturer into the register within ten days upon the date it receives the relevant information from the certification body.
The Law of Ukraine "On Basic Principles and Requirements for Organic Production, Distribution and Labeling of Organic Products", adopted by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on July 10, 2018, will be put into effect one year after its entry into force on August 2, 2019.
