(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- The Ministry of Transport and Communications (MoTC) has started issuing new registration plates for the marine industry. The ministry has called on owners of boats and vessels to get the new licence plates in order to get the navigation licence renewed.
Earlier in May, H E Saeed bin Hamdoon al Harthy, Undersecretary for Ports and Maritime Affairs, MoTC, had launched the new maritime licence plates with different colours representing different sectors.
The ministry said in a statement, 'The ministry, represented by the Directorate General of Maritime Affairs, inaugurated the new registration number plates for the marine units recently.
'Consequently, the owners are kindly advised to submit an application to obtain the new number plates from the ship registration sections when renewing the navigation licence of the maritime unit.'
