Qatar Academy Sidra celebrates first IB Diploma Programme results


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Qatar Academy Sidra (QAS) celebrated the success of its inaugural batch of International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) graduates, with a 100 percent pass result.
The three students, including Karim Emara, Thurriya al-Mulla and Afnan Farah, earned an average IBDP scores of 26 points, compared to the global IBDP mean pass rate of 24 points.
The students are all set for join universities in September. Emara will be joining Northwestern University Qatar (NUQ) for a degree in Communications. Al-Mulla intends to study Computer Science at Hamad Bin Khalifa University, while Farah will pursue an Art degree at Kingston University UK.
'We are delighted that our very first Qatar Academy Sidra alumni had the opportunity to pursue an IB Diploma, said Kim Green, Director of QAS. The journey undertaken to complete this qualification will ensure that our first three alumni will make a significant difference in the world. We congratulate them on their outstanding results, we are proud of their contributions to our school community, and we look forward to following their future closely.
