Latvia to maintain trade relations with Iran

(MENAFN) Latvia was unveiled by its Foreign Ministry to be determined to continue its trade relations with Iran, regardless of US pressures.

LTV reported that Latvia's trade with Iran is sharply restricted, and has been witnessing a continuous decline over the last few years.

Political expert Sintija Broka, a researcher at the Latvian Institute of International Affairs stated "our companies are setting up relations, visit one another, and spend their resources to arrange projects."

She added "take, for example, the Latvian Railways logistics project with Iran - about the connectability between Iran, India, and the Baltic Sea region. Latvia would very much benefit from that."
