Sudanese FM to head for Turkey visit on economic cooperation talks


(MENAFN) Sudan's Foreign Minister El-Dirdeiry Mohamed Ahmed was confirmed to be heading for Turkey on Tuesday, aiming to explore methods on boosting economic cooperation.

The Sudanese foreign minister's visit to Turkey was unveiled to last for two days, from August 14, ending August 15.

The minister is set for a meeting with his Turkish counterpart to address bilateral relations as both countries launch the first meeting of a joint committee to develop bilateral ties.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry stated "during the visit, the first meeting of the Joint Strategic Planning Group between two countries will be held under the chairmanship of [Turkish Foreign Minister] Mevlut Cavusoglu and his Sudanese counterpart."
