Royal Army of Oman band wins first place in Scotland competition


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- The Royal Army of Oman (RAO), represented by the Drums and Bagpipes Band, won the first place in the third round of Pipes and Drums Competition in North Berwick.

The band will be among 15 bands from around the world taking part in the finals to be held in Glasgow.

The RAO Drums and Bagpipes Band also won the first place in the Pedestrian and Discipline Competition. Some 29 bands took part in it.

Among 18 contestants, Sergeant Mohammed bin Khamis al Amri came fourth in the contest of leaders of marching bands.

The RAO Drums and Bagpipes Band continues to take part in the competition.
