Afghanistan- Hajj Flights Operation Completed: Ministry


(MENAFN- Daily Outlook Afghanistan) KABUL - The Ministry of Hajj and Religious Affairs on Friday announced completing the pre-hajj flights operation to Saudi Arabia.
Nasiruddin, the ministry's chief spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the last flight carrying hajj pilgrims departed from Kabul for Jeddah before noon, ending the operation.
He said 30,000 Afghans would perform this year's pilgrimage. They were airlifted in 52 Kam Air Airlines flights to Medina and 49 flights to Jeddah from airports in Kabul, Kandahar, Mazar-i-Sharif and Herat province.
He said the post-hajj flights operation would begin on day five of EidulAzha and the process would take one month to complete. Each pilgrim's cost this year stood at $2650, he said.(Pajhwok)
