Saudi Arabia eyes creating 90,000 jobs in film sector


(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia is planning to create 90,000 jobs in the film sector, permanent and part-time, to citizens of both sexes by 2020, Chairman of the commercial centers' committee at the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI), said on Wednesday.

Mohammed Alawi added that they expected the number of cinemas in the kingdom to reach 2,000, Saudi Okaz newspaper reported.

Alawi explained that the jobs are easy and do not need specific skills, adding that many jobs will be part-time for young men and women.

The kingdom has been engulfed in social, cultural, political and economic changes driven by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, 33.
