(MENAFN) Hamas has suffered a "significant" blow over the weekend amid a bloody intensification in the Gaza Strip, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced Sunday.
During his weekly cabinet meeting, the Israeli prime minister declared "over the weekend we hit Hamas in a significant way."
Prime Minister Netanyahu was referring to several airstrikes of which Israel launched on Friday and Saturday.
Referring to Israel's 2014 military campaign in Gaza, Netanyahu stated "the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) dealt Hamas the harshest blow since Operation Protective Edge."
He then warned "I hope that they got the message. If not, they will get it later."
