Iraqi protesters storm Hezbollah headquarter in Najaf


(MENAFN) On Saturday, Large number of protesters stormed the headquarter of Iraqi Hezbollah in Najaf, setting the office on fire, Arabiya Hadath website said.

The attack came hours after angry protesters stormed the office of Najaf governor.

Earlier on Friday, demonstrators also entered the city's airport.

On Saturday, media reports said at least one civilian was killed and eight others were injured amid clashes with security forces.

Iraq's southern provinces, including Basra, Najaf, Karbala, Misan, Dhi Qar are witnessing widespread protests in which people demand jobs, electricity, water and other public services.
