Al Futtaim Group to raise investments in Lebanon to USD2bn by 2030


(MENAFN) Majid Al Futtaim Group was unveiled to be seeking a boost in its investments in Lebanon to reach USD2 billion in 2030, under an integrated plan.

The retail investments of Majid Al Futtaim were confirmed to have stood at USD18 million in 2018, and is forecast to reach USD50 million in the following five years.

It comes after Lebanon took part in the recent plan Majid Al Futtaim Retail CEO Hani Weiss declared a week ago in Beirut, while the third Carrefour stores in the Zouk Mosbeh area in Mount Lebanon have been launched.

The CEO stated "we have the exclusive right to use the name of Carrefour in the Middle East and the plan is to double the size in the next five years."
