UPDATE: 206 Palestinians injured as Israeli forces attack protesters
(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Gaza, June 22 (Petra) -- More than 200 Palestinians were injured by Israeli occupation soldiers on Friday as the troops cracked down on peaceful protests of the ongoing Great March of Return at the eastern border of the Gaza Strip, said medical sources.
Spokesman for the Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza, Ashraf al-Qudrah said soldiers opened gunfire and fired teargas canisters at the non-violent protesters at many locations on the eastern border of the Gaza Strip with Israel, injuring 206 protesters.
Other Palestinian protesters also suffocated from teargas fired at them by the Israeli soldiers at many locations across Gaza-Israel border.
Over 145 Palestinians have been killed and thousands injured since the outbreak of the Great March of Return protests at Gaza border on March 30.
