Iran kills nine terrorists close to N. Iraqi border


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) TEHRAN, June 9 (KUNA) -- Iran's Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) have killed nine members of a "terrorist team" during a raid northwest of the country near its border with Iraq.
The gang reportedly crossed the borders illegally from northern Iraq after receiving orders from group leaders there, according to an IRGC statement.
They had "precise plans to carry out terrorist and anti-security actions" on Iranian soil, the statement mentioned. (end) mw.sd
