Jordan- Hot weather forecast as temperatures set to soar above average
(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, June 6 (Petra) -- A heat wave is set to grip a huge part of the Kingdom Wednesday and Thursday, pushing temperatures 4-5 degrees above annual average and bringing hot conditions across many parts of the country, the Jordan Meteorological department said.
Daytime temperatures expected for today in the capital will reach 33 degrees Celsius, in the northern cities 31 and 27 in the southern parts of the country, dropping down to 21,18 and 17 respectively. The weather will be hotter in the port city of Aqaba with highs jumping to 39 degrees and lows standing at 28,m the JMD added.
A slight drop in temperatures is forecast on Friday, but relatively hot conditions will continue to prevail in Amman, the hilly areas and the eastern plains, while it will remain hot in the Badia region, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and in Aqaba, the JMD added.
