Amman, May 21 (Petra)--Chief Commissioner of the Independent Election Commission (IEC) Khaled Kalaldeh on Monday briefed a delegation from the Romanian Permanent Electoral Authority, on Jordan's expertise in managing parliamentary, municipal and governorate council elections.
Kalaldeh stressed the IEC's keenness to reach out to election bodies around the world and benefit form their experience in conducting elections.
During their three-day visit, members of the delegation will meet with officials from the IEC and get acquainted with aspects related to the electoral process including laws regulating work of the IEC and the commission's relations with political parties, and civil society institutions.
