ADEN, 3rd May, 2018 (WAM) -- The Arab Coalition Forces Command in Aden has met with several merchants, investors and delegates from chambers of commerce in the liberated areas of Yemen, at its headquarters in the temporary capital, Aden, to discuss the obstacles and issues faced by merchants and investors in conducting commercial activities, which were caused by the war started by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia that directly affected the lives of Yemenis.

The meeting was attended by Mohammed Amzarba, Chairman of the Yemen Gulf of Aden Ports Corporation, Entissar Al Arashah, General Manager of the Oil Company in Aden, Major General Shalal Ali Shaya, Aden's Security Director, and Major General Ali Mouqbel, Governor of Dhala.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Commander of the Arab Coalition conveyed the greetings of the Coalition's Supreme Command to the attendees. Later, there was a discussion on the number of problems facing commercial movement due to the absence of oil products, the deterioration of the local currency's value compared to foreign currencies, in addition to the issues resulting from the war of the pro-Iran Houthi militias which affects the citizens' lives.

The Arab Coalition's Command promised the merchants and the delegates of the Chambers of Commerce all the available support to overcome the difficulties they are facing and alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni citizens. It also asserted the necessity of the legitimate government's interaction on the issues related to investing in the oil field, according to the decision of floating the products and offering the necessary facilities to all the merchants, with no exceptions, to end the monopoly in the supply of oil products by any entity.
