(MENAFN- Asia Times) A Filipino domestic worker in Saudi Arabia has allegedly suffered a mental breakdown after she was abused by her employer.
In a video posted on Facebook, Regine Pedregosa is seen pleading for help and begging not to be killed, The Filipino Times reported.
Compatriots tried to help Pedregosa by asking for her family's contact details, but she was unable to answer. Pictures of the maid showed she had bruises on her arms.
Pedregosa is reportedly in the intensive care unit at King Saud Medical City in Riyadh for treatment.
A Facebook user called on Pedregosa's employment agency to help her and urged netizens to share the post, hoping that it will reach Pedregosa's family and the Philippine government.
