Pope Francis likely to visit Algeria
(MENAFN) At the aim of overseeing the reburial ceremony for 19 monks who were killed between 1994 and 1996 during the civil war in Algeria, Pope Francis is likely to visit the North African country.
The ceremony will take place in Oran Cathedral.
The date of the ceremony has not yet been determined, but is expected to be revealed soon.
An official invitation from Algerian authorities mentions "a short visit for the Pope to Oran, during which he will personally oversee the beatification ceremony."
