Oman's refinery output rises 26% in February: NCSI

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Total production of refineries and petroleum industries in Oman rose 25.8 per cent as at the end of February 2018 compared to the output recorded during the same period in 2017, according to statistics released by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).

The statistics showed that the production of regular grade petrol (Mogas 91) surged 52 per cent to 1.85mn barrels at the end of February from the same period a year ago. Domestic sales of Mogas 91 rose 67 per cent to 1.8mn barrels while exports reached 428,000 barrels.

Production of Mogas 95 decreased 27 per cent to 1.98mn barrels, as the sales for this grade of petrol fell 35 per cent to 1.68mn barrels.

Production of diesel increased 30 per cent to 4.85mn barrels but its domestic sales fell three per cent to 2.45mn barrels. Diesel exports increased 41 per cent to 1.65mn barrels compared to the same period last year.
Jet fuel production jumped 113 per cent to 1.93mn barrels in February on year-on-year basis. Domestic sales of jet fuel increased two per cent to 808,000 barrels and its exports jumped by 843 per cent to 1.07mn barrels.
