5 Palestinians injured by Israeli troops in West Bank

(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Ramallah, March 20 (Petra) -- Five Palestinians were shot and injured on Tuesday when Israeli forces fired live rounds and rubber bullets during clashes with protesters in the north of the occupied West Bank, according to a Palestinian source.

They said undercover Israeli soldiers, posing as Palestinians, raided a house in the town of Burqin, near Jenin, to arrest a young Palestinian, triggering clashes in which troops used live fire, rubber-coated metal bullets and percussion bombs, injuring five people.

Israeli forces stormed the town early in the day and surrounded the house of 26-year old Rami Ghanim before arresting him.
