(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, March 19 (Petra)-- A slight rise in mercury levels is expected on Monday, becoming 9-10 degrees above their seasonal average. Therefore, warm weather will prevail in hilly areas, while it will be relatively hot in other parts of the Kingdom, according to Jordan Metrological Department (JMD).
In the evening, the weather will change to be dusty in most regions with southwesterly moderate to light winds, the JMD said.
Daytime temperatures forecast for today in Amman and the northern cities will reach 28 degrees Celsius dropping down to 14 and 15 respectively at night. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 34 degrees and lows standing at 21, the JMD noted.
A slight drop in mercury levels is expected on Tuesday and Wednesday, but they will remain above their annual average creating similar warm conditions with northwesterly moderate to brisk winds.
