Jordan- Interior minister chairs security meeting


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, March 14 (Petra)-- Interior Minister Samir Mubaideen Tuesday chaired a meeting to discuss efforts of security apparatuses to consolidate peace and security across the Kingdom.

Chiefs of the Public Security Department (PSD) Maj. Gen. Fadel Hmoud, and Civil Defence Department Maj. Gen. Mostafa Al-Bazaia'ah, along other officials participated in the gathering.

During the meeting, the minister underscored the importance of reaching out to citizens in order to address their concerns and provide better services to them in line with the Royal directives.

He also underlined the need for sustained cooperation and coordination among security agencies, governors and relevant bodies.

The law must be applied equally to all, said the minister emphasizing the Kingdom's visitors and citizens safety is our responsibility. He said the PSD works on a security strategy to arrest wanted people and refer them to the judiciary.
