Jordan, Algeria seek to boost cultural ties


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, March 12 (Petra)-- Minister of Higher Education Adel Twaisi Monday said his ministry was keen on fostering cultural and scientific exchange between Jordan and Algeria, in a bid to overcome obstacles encountering the implementation of a joint executive program between the countries.

The minister's remarks came as he received a delegation led by Director of Algeria Intercollegiate Cooperation and Exchange Arezki Saidani.

At the meeting, the minister pointed out that attention will be given to all issues raised by the visiting delegation, expressing the ministry's readiness to boost cooperation in an effort to reach a distinct level of cultural exchange.

Twaisi also extended an invitation to his Algerian counterpart Tahir Hajjar to visit Jordan and discuss details of the executive program between Jordan and the North African nation.

On hi part, Saidani highlighted the important role played by Jordan's Ministry of Higher Education in fostering two-way cultural and educational ties.
