Dublin protests against plans to ease abortion laws

(MENAFN) Dublin has been hit with over 10,000 demonstrators who were protesting against the Irish government's decision to loosen abortion laws.

Ireland is to carry out a vote on abolishing the eighth amendment to the constitution as early as May.

The amendment states both the life of the mother and the unborn fetus to be equal, as it bans abortion.

Protesters have been repeating phrases such as "Repeal kills" and "pro-life", with several people carrying images of aborted unborn children in protest against the plans.
