Syria: aid convoy gets in Eastern Ghouta

(MENAFN) A convoy of vehicles packed with emergency humanitarian aid has initiated the entry to Syrian rebel-held Eastern Ghouta.

Although attempts of ceasefire supported by UN as well as persistent truce demanded by Russia have been urged, the 46 trucks will be the first to enter the blockaded area since mid-February.

During that period of time, over 719 people died, including many children.

Activists declared that fourteen residents were killed in on night under the authorities' air attacks.
