Palestinians injured in clashes with Israeli forces in Nablus


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Ramallah, Feb. 15 (Petra) -- A number of Palestinians were injured, Thursday dawn, in clashes with the Israeli occupation forces in the West Bank city of Nablus, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) statement said .

Around 30 Israeli armored vehicles broke into the city on different axes, and surrounded Faisal street, the Eastern cemetery, the old town and Ras Al-Ain, the PRCS added, "The Israeli troops climbed tops of buildings in Ibn Rushd street and other houses near the National Hospital, which witnessed the heaviest clashes.

"Israeli Special Central Unit (Yamam) has also accompanied the troops that stormed the city, the statement added." A number of Palestinians were injured by Israeli live ammunition, rubber-coated metal bullets, and tear gas canisters, the statement revealed.
