(MENAFN) Lebanon has denied a claim of US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson to have been delayed before a session at the presidential palace with President Michel Aoun.
Tillerson was seen in a video on TV to have been sitting alone for a few minutes before Lebanese Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil entered to welcome him.
Lebanon, which is a main beneficiary of the US army relief, welcomed Tillerson during his regional tour.
Chlela confirmed that the protocol chief spoke to Tillerson at the Baabda presidential palace.
