(MENAFN) Egyptian Prime Minister's office has declared the country to provide the private sector with the option to directly import natural gas in an issued executive policy.
Parliament has approved of a law in 2017, creating a gas regulatory authority that aims to drive growth in the private sector.
The law was finally set in motion on Tuesday when the issue of the executive regulations took place.
Egypt has affirmed its objective of turning into a regional attraction for liquefied natural gas (LNG) trade.
