Syrian DCA shots down 70 percent of Israel's missiles

(MENAFN) The Syrian air defense system has intercepted and destroyed 70% of missiles fired by the Israeli army on Syria, Al-Mayadeen reported.

Syrian media reported on February 10 a new act of Israeli aggression, which took place near the Syrian capital. Earlier in the day, an Israeli F-16 fighter was shot down by Syrian air defense systems, which is the first Israeli fighter to be shot down since 2006. Many surface-to-air missiles (SAM) were used by the Syrian Arab army.

Subsequently, the Israeli army continued its attacks in southern Syria, neutralized once again. Surprised by the strong capabilities of the Syrian DCA, she appealed to the intervention of the United States and Russia.

The coalition forces' operations chamber in Syria made a statement saying that "any terrorist act of the regime of Israel will be the subject of a stinging and shattering retort".
