France joins US, Israel in Poland Holocaust law condemnation

(MENAFN) Poland's recently passed Holocaust law has received further criticism from another country with France condemning it as "ill advised".

French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian advised Poland saying "you should not rewrite history, it's never a very good idea."

The new law has been passed on Tuesday when President Andrzej Duda signed it, making it an act against the law to accuse Poland of complicity in the Nazi Holocaust.

France has joined the United States and Israel in its criticism, as the US showed "disappointment" against the decision while Israel raised fears over the possibility of hiding the truth about some Poles' participation in the crimes.
