The US Coast Guard in Miami has been busy cleaning up damage from Hurricane Irma, removing many damaged boats from the waters. Five months later, they are continuing to take care of their own damages. Their Miami Air Station issued a solicitation today for environmental consulting contractors to perform a study for repairs on their aviation fuel farm. They are only accepting offers from small businesses until February 15, 2018.
The contractor will furnish all labor, equipment, tools and supervision for this work. The period of performance is fifty days and is anticipated to begin about mid-March. For more information, firms may submit a Request for Information to contracting officer Laura Allen at by February 6, 2018.
All contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management and qualify as a small business to be considered for the contract. A business is considered small in this industry if their three-year average annual gross totals $15 million or less. Proper registration is important when submitting a technically acceptable bid, and for the best chance of winning the contract, businesses may use third-party registration firms to get set up.
