Israeli forces wound nine Palestinians in Gaza Strip


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) GAZA, Jan 26 (KUNA) -- Around nine Palestinians were wounded during separate confrontations with the Israeli army along the eastern border areas of the Gaza Strip, Palestinian health ministry announced Friday.

Medical teams transported the wounded Palestinians, including three from the city of Jabalia in northeastern Gaza, another three from Shujaiyya district in eastern Gaza, and other three from the city of Khan Yunes in southern Gaza, Dr. Ashraf Al-Qudra, the ministry's spokesman, said in a press statement.

The confrontations broke out after Friday's prayer upon a call by the Palestinian National and Islamic Forces to express rejection of US President Donald Trump's decision on December 26, 2017 of moving the US embassy to Jerusalem, as well as recognizing the Old City as an Israeli capital.
