Jordan continues delivery of humanitarian aid to Rukban

(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Jan. 13 (Petra)--The Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army continued over the past few days the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Rukban camp for displaced Syrians in the presence of UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator in Jordan Andres Pedersen and Director of Border Security Brigadier Ali Momani.

According to an army source, the aid is delivered to the camp through cranes, to be collected by the community leaders of the displaced Syrians near the border for distribution.

The initiative came upon the request of the UN due to the deteriorating conditions of the displaced Syrians in the area after it was declared a closed military zone.
