Qatar- Public lecture on latest findings of Sri Lankan history on January 19

Ethera Api organisation - Qatar branch is a leading community organisation working for the betterment of Sri Lankan expatriates. It is also a registered body at the Sri Lankan Embassy and is going to conduct a public lecture titled ‘New perspectives on Sri Lankan history' on January 19 at Plaza Inn Hotel, Doha.

The lecture will be conducted by an eminent professor in the field of archaeology Dr Raj Somadewa, who will arrive on in the four-day visit.

Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Qatar, A S P Liyanage, will be the chief guest of the event.

Professor Somadeva graduated in a number of Sri Lankan and Foreign Universities has been honoured extensively locally and globally for his contributions to the field. Currently he is working as a senior professor in archaeology in the post graduate institute of University of Kelaniya.

According to the organising committee, the upcoming lecture will facilitate the participants to recognise several inspiring findings pertaining to the Sri Lankan history which came to light from recent researches conducted.

Further, the organising committee advises the intended participants to confirm the attendance in advance as limited seats are available for the event which will be conducted free of charge.
