AMMAN —AlGhad— A police source confirmed to AlGhad today, Wednesday, that the pictures circulating the internet, showing an Egyptian being dragged in the streets of Zarqa, are actually a fabrication of Egyptian media.

In fact, the picture showing a man being dragged by a motorcycle is an old picture of an incident that took place in Gaza, not Jordan.

A fight did broke out last Friday involving an Egyptian national in Zarqa, the source confirmed, but he was not dragged. He fought with one of the grocers, fell and hit his head on one of the vehicles on the side of the road.

He was taken to the hospital immediately and is in critical medical conditions, the source said, due to a fractured skull and heavy haemorrhage in the brain.

Meanwhile, the embassy was informed of the incident, according to the police, and the attacker was detained and is still in custody.
