Kremlin spokesman describe US security strategy as 'imperial'

(MENAFN) Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov accused the latest U.S. national security policy of possessing an imperial character.

Speaking to reporters Tuesday, the spokesman said "a quick reading of the strategy, especially of those parts that somehow mention our country, on the whole, reveal the imperial character of the document."

Peskov further added "there is a persistent reluctance to renounce the concept of a unipolar world, as well as a rejection of a multipolar world."

Nonetheless, Peskov pointed out that the document enclosed as well "some modest positive points," such as the existence of a compliance to cooperate in aspects that match with the United States interests.
