Jordan- Audit bureau reports dealt with seriously PM

(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Dec 19 (Petra) –– Prime Minister Hani Mulki said on Tuesday that violations and malpractices contained in Audit Bureau reports are being taken seriously and that no cases will be shelved regardless their source or the offenders.

Responding to questions by lawmakers at a Lower House session chaired by Speaker Atef Tarawneh, Mulki said all Jordanians are equal in rights and obligations and that all should stand up against any abuse of public funds.

He said ministerial committees had been formed to look into the various cases in the 2012-2015 Audit Bureau reports, and had referred some to the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission for investigation.

The House referred to its financial committee the 2016 Audit Bureau, which includes violations and breaches by entities under the bureau's jurisdiction and its recommendations.
