Four Palestinians martyred, dozens wounded in clashes with Israel

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) RAMALLAH, Dec 15 (KUNA) -- At least four Palestinian people were "martyred" and 192 others wounded during clashes between Palestinians protesting US President Donald Trump's decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital, and Israeli forces on Friday in several cities, said Palestinian Health Ministry.

The ministry added in a statement that a Palestinian young man identified as Basel Ismail was "martyred" in Ramallah today during the clashes.

His compatriot Mohammad Aql, another young man, succumbed to the injury he sustained in the clashes on Friday afternoon in Ramallah.

At least 103 Palestinian people were wounded, two of them are suffering from serious injuries, in the West Bank, it added.

In Gaza, Ashraf Al-Qudra, spokesman for the health ministry, told KUNA that Yasser Nagui, 23, and Ibrahim Abu Thuraiya, 29, were "martyred" in the clashes erupted in the Strip that protested against the US decision.

He added that 89 others were injured in northern, southern, and central Gaza.

Violent clashes erupted in several areas between the Palestinian people and the Israeli occupation forces in second "Friday of rage," against Trump's move, that called by the national forces in Palestine.

Trump's decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital and to relocate the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to the holy city angered all Muslims across the globe.

Muslims all over the world, including Palestine, have been staging protests against the US decision, and many Arab, Muslims and international leaders expressed their condemnation of the move.

They asked the US Administration to back down the step, calling for a two-state solution to end the conflict between the palestinian people and Israel. (end)
