(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) CAIRO, Dec 4 (KUNA) -- The youth play an increasingly significant role towards the development of the telecommunications and information techonology (IT) sectors, a Kuwaiti official said Monday.
Speaking to KUNA after participating in the 21st ordinary meeting of Arab communication ministers held in the Egyptian capital, the undersecretary of the Kuwaiti ministry of communicaton Rashed Al-Uthania cited youth contributions as the focal point of the meeting's agenda.
He pointed out that an Arab iniaitive to launch an e-governance system was also among issues discussed, in addition to an e-education system.
On the meeting, the Kuwaiti official revealed that attendees examined plans to launch an Arab Telecommunications Union, as well as other issues including the internet and IT developments. (Pick up previous) ms.nam
