Studies: 27 percent of Kuwaitis are divorced, unmarried


(MENAFN) Recent study showed that divorced and unmarried citizens in Kuwait reached 26.8 percent of the overall population of the country.

309,000 citizens are unmarried, while 57,714 others are divorced, according to recent statistics released by the Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI).

The divorce rate is highest among the category of Kuwaiti citizens aged 30 to 39, 17,181 in total.

The (PACI) report surveyed 34,519 citizens who work in the Kuwaiti public sector.
