(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Beirut, Nov 28 (Petra) –– Lebanese President Michel Aoun said Tuesday that Israeli threats to Lebanon persisted through recurrent violations of resolution 1701, which Israel continues to violate in disregard of international calls.
Aoun also said Lebanese security forces would pursue the "sleeper" terror cells through preemptive operations that had paid off and foiled plans to carry out terrorist acts to undermine the country's stability and security.
He also called for ending the suffering of Syrian refugees and enabling them to return home.
