Withington Hospital: "catastrophic mistake" led to double death

(MENAFN) A sentence of two years suspension have been given to the ninety years old Philip Bull for causing the death of a couple when backing up his car into them outside Withington Hospital. According to a Jude, Bull made a "genuine but catastrophic mistake."

It was explained for the Manchester Crown Court that instead of pressing the brake, Bull has pressed the accelerator of his automatic vehicle. Then, he was disclosed two counts of causing death by dangerous driving.

The incident occurred on 7 March in Manchester when Bull was dropping off his 87 year old wife, Audrey, to the hospital then crashed into Clare Haslam and Deborah Clifton.
