Dubai - United Arab Emirates, March 23, 2017: Dubai Land Department (DLD) highlighted several of its pioneering initiatives during the first day of the Dubai Property Show in Shanghai as the strategic partner of the event, which was inaugurated today on Friday 24th March and will run for three days until Sunday 26th of this month.

DLD's participation is taking place at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center under the theme ‘Dubai, your ideal investment destination'. The department's delegation will be working to translate this theme into reality over the course of the event, by presenting a range of services and initiatives that support Dubai's real estate sector. Visitors to DLD's platform will be able to discover the department's most innovative achievements in the sector, particularly the ‘Investment Map' and its new integration with the ‘Noqodi' program from the ‘Trakheesi' system, in addition to showcasing the features of ‘Mashrooi' and the ‘Real Estate Promotion Trustee' initiative.

Her Excellency Majida Ali Rashid, Assistant Director General and Head of Real Estate Investment Management and Promotion Center, the investment arm of Dubai Land Department, commented: 'We are pleased to enter into a strategic partnership with Sumansa to organise the Dubai Property Show in Shanghai, which is one of the largest cities on the Chinese mainland. The choice of this event destination is vital as we have witnessed an increase in demand from Chinese investors, who have pumped over AED 10 billion into the Dubai real estate market over the past four years.

Innovative initiatives
At the event, DLD's team will highlight the real estate ‘Investment Map' and explain its latest updates following its integration with the new ‘Noqodi' program from the ‘Trakheesi' system. The ‘Investment Map' provides investors with a comprehensive set of investment opportunities on the department's website. The three-dimensional interactive map is an important step forward, as it allows investors to pursue real estate opportunities available in the local market and gain an overview of the projects on offer. The state-of-the-art technology system supports Dubai's growth by encouraging investment, and reflects Dubai's position as a leading investment destination that adopts modern technologies in its economic activities to support investor's real estate decisions.

Visitors to the exhibition can also get acquainted with the ‘Mashrooi' application and its many benefits, including its integration with ‘Oqood', the Developers' Property Management System, which is a comprehensive system containing information about brokers. In addition, the application uses the data available in the DLD database to ensure the integrity of all information made available via the application. It also provides information on the status of projects, their rates of achievement, actual images and Escrow accounts, with a complete geographic presentation of the project location using the location tracking system.

Continuous success
Her Excellency Majida Ali Rashid added: 'We have decided to launch the show in China following the success of its previous session in Mumbai, India which took place last December, and other shows hosted in major global destinations including London and Hong Kong. We are confident that it will help us achieve our objectives by highlighting Dubai as a leading destination that attracts Chinese investors. Our participation at the event reflects our commitment to supporting the developers and all professionals working in this sector to achieve our vision of making Dubai the world's first destination for innovation, trust and happiness.

According to reports issued from the Dubai Land Department, Chinese investments in the Dubai real estate market amounted to 1.74 billion dirhams in 2016, ranking the country among the top 10 nationalities making the highest investments in this sector. Chinese investors are attracted to choosing Dubai to take advantage of its superb infrastructure, which ensures a world-class business environment, as well as affordable international prices, guaranteed revenue and security.

25 companies working in the fields of real estate development, consulting, management and other real estate related fields are participating in the current session of the Dubai Property Show in Shanghai. They will work together as a team to help the Emirate transform itself into a leading regional hub in the commercial, financial and tourism sectors.
