Morocco- Badr Hari's Trial to Resumethis Tuesday
(MENAFN- Morocco World News) Moroccan heavy-weight kickboxer Badr Hari is expected to stand trial Tuesday, 24 May, for his alleged assault and battery against a waiter in a luxury hotel in Marrakech in April. Badr Hari was arrested immediately as he arrived in Mohammed V airport in Casablanca on Saturday 15 May after the victim filed a complaint against him. He was under custody for 48 hours, but was released after he paid a bail of 5,000 dirhams. In recent days, the victim declared that he has been under intense pressure from Badr Hari and has been encouraged to withdraw the complaint, but he declined. The victim added that because of his determination, Hari's relatives spread the rumor that he wants to extort money from the kick-boxing world champion. The case dates back to mid-April when Hari was on holiday in Marrakech. The waiter said that he was humiliated and beaten by Hari and his Dutch guest. The waiter also said that he was also taken out of the night club and beaten further.
